The Yamaha Stratoliner Deluxe is one of the most powerful and stylish bikes on the market and the 2012 model comes packed with plenty of new features.

Comfort, convenience and style. Three words that best describe the 2012 Yamaha Stratoliner Deluxe casual full dress tourer. The bike’s sleek neo-classic styling lines are only the beginning; it also has a hard fairing with an aggressive mini windshield and color-matched hard saddlebags, plus a handlebar-mounted, audio-controller that allows you to ante up on the volume of your plugged-in iPod. 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 Specs, and Review

2012 Yamaha YZF-R1
Yamaha has been on quite a roll lately, hasn’t it? After scoring their second AMA Pro Racing American SuperBike Championship in many years, Yamaha wants to build on that momentum by introducing the new YZF-R1.
The 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 receives another benefit from MotoGP® technology – a seven-level Traction Control System. The system has been developed so the rider does not feel any unnatural or harsh intervention from the system. In addition, traction control can aid in reducing tire wear due to less wheel spin. Coupled with the three level D-Mode electronics throttle response control, riders have 21 different choices available to tailor the YZF-R1 to their riding preference.
The 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 comes with plenty of new styling cues, including a new upper fairing with a revised headlight cowl, giving the bike an aggressive and more modern styling cue. That’s complimented by new LED position lights, new hexagon-shaped muffler caps, and heat shields for a sharper profile at the rear. The footrests have been redesigned for great boot sole contact and advanced rider/motorcycle interface while new silencer heat guards and end caps are re-styled to give the rear end of the bike a more compact look.

The 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 is powered by a 98cc, liquid-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine with titanium intake valves. Unique to Yamaha is the crossplane crankshaft technology that has proven to be a home-run technology for Yamaha’s MotoGP machines. Unlike typical inline-four engine design, where the two outer and two inner pistons move together in pairs with 180°intervals, the crossplane crankshaft has each connecting rod 90° with a unique firing order of 270° –180° – 90° – 180°. What this does is overcome the inherent fluctuations in inertial torque during each engine revolution, and the accompanying peaky torque characteristics. Instead, combustion torque continues to build, giving the rider more linear throttle response with awesome power and traction out of the corners. A forced air intake system is also part of the whole set-up, increasing the engine’s intake efficiency by using the natural airflow during riding to pressurize the air in the air box. This, in turn, contributes to the bike’s power delivery characteristics in the high-speed range, while the design also helps to minimize intake noise. The bike’s fuel-injected engine also takes full advantage of Yamaha’s YCC-T technology, the MotoGP-inspired fly-by-wire technology that’s used to deliver instant throttle response. The YCC-T combines with the YCC-I variable intake system that broadens the spread of the bike’s overall power.
Aluminium Deltabox frame has been designed to offer an optimized rigidity balance to maximize handling performance. This frame is very rigid or stiff at the head pipe, engine mounts and swingarm pivot point. In other areas, material has been carefully removed to allow "tuned flex". Finished in black, this frame boasts a compact 1415mm (55.7") wheelbase. The swingarm pivot location has been optimized to minimize the chain tension effect under hard acceleration, providing more stable handling. The engine is a fully stressed chassis member to maximize handling. Stability, a key to great handling, is unsurpassed while the ability to hold a line under hard acceleration is excellent. This frame features a mix of gravity cast (head stock & front engine mounts & swingarm pivot area), CF (controlled filling) die cast (outer tank rails) and aluminium panels (inner tank rails). Each of these aluminium parts has different flex characteristics in order to provide the rigidity balance the engineers desired.

2012 Yamaha VMAX / VMX17 Specs, and Review

2012 Yamaha VMAX / VMX17
Unlike any other motorcycle available today, the 2012 Yamaha VMAX is truly in a class of its own. The awesome acceleration and muscular beauty combines with sporty handling and Yamaha's latest electronic engine management technologies to offer an incredibly exhilarating riding experience.
In '85 the original V-Max turned the motorcycle world on its ear. Our engineers took a big dose of the original "Mad Max" DNA then added a bunch of Yamaha's latest sport bike technologies like our chip controlled variable intake stacks, a high tech fuel injection system and our famous fly by wire throttle. The result is the next generation VMAX. The legendary sound, engine character and amazing acceleration are all part of the latest design but there is a twist. The VMAX offers truly sporty handling, thanks to its lightweight aluminium chassis and fully adjustable suspension. Scorched any pavement lately.
2012 Yamaha VMAX / VMX17 reminded me of a Ducati Diavel, but different, This bike gets the nickname The intelligent monsters, why not? face a very muscular, strong with a 1.679 cc engine, Liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve, 65 °, V-4 engine offering the sensation of riding a comfortable and sporty. and now, the update for 2012 is a stylish new side cover finish matches the intake cover.

2012 Yamaha FZ8 Specs, and Review

2012 Yamaha FZ8
Introduced to the American motorcycle market in 2011, the FZ8 bridged the gap between its older and younger naked-bike siblings, the FZ1 and FZ6R. But unlike its 1000cc and 600cc siblings, the FZ8 had that "true" naked sportbike look, considering it didn't have any fairings. This muscular styling, combined with the equally muscular 779cc engine, provided the market with something new, and the FZ8 stuck.
Combining sports performance and agressive styling with all day riding comfort, the 2012 Yamaha FZ8 is a special breed of motorcycle. The word practical pops to mind, but don't confuse practical with dull. Most riders can only afford one machine and the 2012 FZ8 is worth a serious look. It delivers solid performance from its 779cc inline-four engine and excellent handling thanks to the 2012 FZ1 inspired twin spar aluminum frame. And when it comes to comfort, it's in the bag.

2012 Yamaha FZ8, giving what is wanted by every fan. This Streetfighter from Yamaha combines outstanding performance engines, aerodynamic body design, and comfort driving in the streets. Yamaha FZ8 is equipped with machines, 779cc liquid-cooled inline 4-cylinder; DOHC, 16 valves. This powerful machine capable of delivering maximum torque, 8.4 kg-m (60.8 ft-lbs.) @ 8.000 rpm. This machine is capable of delivering exceptional acceleration. Bringing you run fast. Very strong and aerodynamics body design, giving the impression as a true streetfighter.

Key Features:
  •  The 779cc engine combines top end components, including ceramic-composite-coated cylinders and forged aluminum pistons, with a carefully optimized crankshaft to deliver the perfect power curve and torquey performance character for this category.
  • The FZ8 fills the gap for sport riders who feel a 600cc is too small and a 1000cc is too big.
  • Muscular, naked bike styling gives an aggressive, mass-forward stance. This bike screams attitude.
  • Comfortable, upright riding position with a compact design that contributes to the bike’s first-rate handling. This bike simply excels, both in the morning commute and on that spirited weekend ride on a twisty back country road.
  • Cast aluminum frame and Controlled-Fill aluminum swingarm is lightweight and provides the ideal rigidity balance for outstanding cornering performance.
Engine:
  • New 779cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, inline 4-cylinder, 4-valve engine delivers smooth power delivery and gobs of torque in the low to mid rpm range. But this engine also lets loose with eye-opening horsepower when the revs climb toward redline.
  • Fuel-injection with 35mm diameter throttle bodies has optimum intake efficiency and smooth throttle response. Provides precise fuel/air mixtures for awesome power delivery across the rpm range.
  • Compact, pent-roof combustion chamber with a high 12.0:1 compression ratio with 26mm intake valves and 22mm exhaust valves contributes both to the superb torque and high-rpm power of this engine.
  • Intake funnels for cylinders 2 and 3 are 25mm longer than the two outside cylinders. This tuning trick helps maximize the engine’s punchy torque delivery.
  • The FZ8 inherits proven R1/FZ1 technologies, including forged aluminum pistons, fracture split carburized connecting rods, and ceramic-composite-plated cylinders.
  • The 68.0mm bore and 53.6mm stroke specifications were carefully chosen to maximize the strong torque characteristics, as was the new crankshaft with optimized inertial mass.
  • Wide-ratio 6-speed transmission has ideal ratios for the engine’s performance character.
  • 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system looks great and includes a catalytic converter and O2 sensor. Short muffler is mounted low for great looks and excellent mass centralization.
Chassis/Suspension:
  • Cast aluminum frame uses the engine as a stressed member and allows for optimal rigidity balance, light weight, and superb handling. Six engine-mounting points help provide superb longitudinal rigidity.
  • Controlled-Fill die-cast aluminum swing arm saves weight and is tuned for excellent handling.
  • 43mm inverted fork and a link-type Monocross shock with adjustable preload for light and neutral handling characteristics.
  • 310mm front discs, squeezed by monoblock four-piston calipers, and a single 267mm rear disc offer strong stopping power.
  • Aggressive chassis geometry with supersport-inspired 51 percent front wheel weight bias. Provides light, nimble handling.
  • The generous 4.5 gallon fuel tank, is short front to back, and slender where it meets the rider. The foot pegs and handlebars are also placed for a compact, rider-forward riding position that contributes to the bike’s excellent handling.
  • 5-spoke cast aluminum wheels contribute to the light and neutral handling character. This bike sports a 120/70 ZR17 radial tire up front, and a 180/55-ZR17 rear radial to complete the look and serve up the traction.
Additional Features:
  • “Mass-forward” naked bike styling is accentuated by the headlight design.
  • FZ1-style instrument cluster features a great looking tachometer with a white face.

2012 Yamaha YZF-R6 Specs, and Review

2012 Yamaha YZF-R6
Besides its sheer speeds at the raceways, the 2012 Yamaha YZF-R6 is greatly known for its technological aspects. The Yamaha YZF-R6 screams tech-savvy in many ways, but is best known for Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T), the first motorcycle to have one, and Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I). The advanced Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle provides "flawless response under all conditions," and the Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake varies "intake tract length for excellent cylinder filling and a broader powerband."
And the Yamaha YZF-R6 returns for 2012 with these technical aspects wrapped around its 599cc inline-four featuring titanium valves, although a carry-over model from last year.
The only change for 2012 is a new color option; just like its older brother, the 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1, the 2012 Yamaha YZF-R6 will be offered in a limited World GP 50th Anniversary Edition that celebrates Yamaha's racing heritage with Pearl White/Rapid Red livery.
The Limited Edition Yamaha YZF-R6, which only 1500 will be produced worldwide, includes a 50th Anniversary emblem on top of the fuel tank and a special numbered plate showing the production number.
Following are the highlights, specs, color options and MSRP for the 2012 Yamaha YZF-R6.
