2011 Bimota DB8 is a somewhat simplified version of the materials used in the flagship model DB7, moreover, is designed for two riders. Cost, of course, slightly lower than the DB7.

2011 Bimota DB8 is equipped with the same engine as the flagship model of the DB7. This is a 1198 cc L-twin Ducati Testastretta Evoluzione. Its capacity is 170 hp (125 kW) at 9,750 rpm and maximum torque – 131.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm.

In addition to the above reasons, creating a DB8, the company intended to expand the range of models with engine Testastretta Evoluzione, since, according to developers, he has an impressive potential to be realized not only in the extreme models.

All carbon parts of the DB7 will be offered as a racing accessories for 2011 Bimota DB8, like the expansion of electronics with the "Traction Control".
